Set on the Venice Lido, a few minutes by water taxi from St Mark’s Square, Nicelli Aerodrome is one of Europe’s most delightful city airports.
It serves second fiddle to the international airport – Marco Polo – on the other side of the lagoon, yet it is beautifully located and its terminal building is a strikingly handsome design from 1935.
Set between the lagoon, a medieval church and other historic buildings, the airport can be reached on foot, bike or boat.

Pilot for one day is the program that our academy, in cooperation with ENAC, has prepared for those who wants to approach the world of aviation, and be a pilot.
After an indoor briefing, the instructor takes you onboard of the training airplane on a real flight on the Lido area with the view of S. Marco square, and he helps you to take the controls of the airplane and perform some basic pilot maneuvers.
